Requirements for Applying For A Traffic Cop College 2025

  • Minimum educational qualification of matric or grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Medical Certificate as proof that a person can do strenuous exercise.
  • Applicants shall not be older than 35 years of age
  • No Criminal record.
  • Code B driving licence (manual transmission).

Period of the Traffic Cops Training in 2025

The successful candidates will be required to complete a training programme that lasts for a (1) year, as a result of which they will be required to sign a three (3) year contract with the RTMC. The training programme will be held in Gauteng Province or any other suitable training location decided upon by the RTMC. The 14 traffic colleges that have been approved by the minister of transportation are where applicants who are employed as traffic officers or traffic trainees are sent to start their one-year training.
