As simple as it may seem, you must fulfill the prerequisites before combining your matric scores. But don’t worry, they’re really simple. To be eligible, you must:

  • Pass at least five of your six subjects
  • Get more than 20% for a failed subject you want to combine

What Steps Must I Take To Merge My Matric Results

All you have to do is follow these simple steps to combine your Matric results:

  • Visit the Department of Basic Education website, download and fill out the replacement certificate form (DBE)
  • Please add the following files to the form:
  • The outcomes you received after finishing each Matric exam session
  • a copy of your identity document (ID),
  • Evidence of Payment (R130, per the DBE’s guidelines)
  • Submit these documents to the DBE office closest to you.

Department To Apply And Combine Matric Result

You can apply for a combination of Matric results through one of the following:

  • Department of Basic Education (DBE) Website
  • Provincial Education offices
  • Postal method (fill in this form and send it to this address: Private Bag X895, Pretoria, 0001)
  • You will need this to apply:
  • Results from both exam sittings
  • Your ID book/card
  • Have a certified copy of your ID

Proof of payment of R153.00 (this can be paid through the postal method or at the DBE or provincial offices) These fees are valid from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2025. Combining your exam results is a great move but failing two courses might be a setback. thanks for reading
