This program’s mandatory element of teaching practice must be completed each year by the established requirements. Year modules can only be registered for during the academic year’s January registration period. From the first year of BEd registration on, students must additionally register with SACE (South African Council for Educators).

The applicant must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or three-year diploma evaluated at NQF level 6 (old structure) or NQF level 7 (new structure) (360 credits). The degree or diploma must include at least two school-related subjects.
