Lovedale Tvet College NSFAS Application Date

The application date for the national student financial aid scheme commences in September 2024 down to January 2025. Note the above date is for those who wish to apply for the 2025 academic year, so they must ensure to apply before the deadline of the application.

Lovedale Tvet College NSFAS Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should note that not everybody qualifies for financial aid, below are the qualification standards of financial aid;

  • You qualify for a NSFAS bursary if you are a South African citizen who plans to study in 2025 or you are already studying at a public university or TVET college.
  • South African citizens or permanent residents
  • SASSA grant recipients
  • Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year
  • Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.
  • Must have an email account and cell phone number.

Application Process for Lovedale TVET College NSFAS

  • Create a profile:

Create a myNSFAS account via this link: https://my.nsfas.org.za/ or download the NSFAS App on Google Play or App Store. Your ID number will be your username.

  • Apply now:

Click on the “Apply’ tab to update your personal information and upload your application supporting documents, as indicated.

  • Complete:

Submit your application.

Required Documents To Register Online For NSFAS At Lovedale TVET College 2025

NSFAS applicants for the 2025 academic year must submit the following documents as required of them to register;

Students with disabilities must provide:

  • A completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form

Students recognised as vulnerable children must provide:

  • An applicant who is recognised as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development must provide and Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker

Other documents that may be required, if applicable:

  • Retrenchment letter
  • Death certificate/s
  • Divorce Decree
  • Proof of legal guardianship
  • Marriage certificate
  • other documents may be required for appeal purposes,….eg retrenchment letter.

How To Check Your Application Status At Lovedale TVET College 2025

Once you have successfully logged into your NSFAS account, follow these steps to check your application status:

  • Look for the “My Applications” or “Application Status” tab within your account.
  • Click on the tab to view the status of your NSFAS application.
  • The status may be displayed as “Pending,” “Complete,” “Evaluation in Progress,” “Provisionally Funded,” or “Funding Declined.”
