How Many Times Can I Do Matric

Would you like to improve your scores but aren’t sure how many you can try? After all, this information is provided just as a guide. The probability for students to receive their Certificates was the biggest goal of the Rewrite course. To raise your GPA or if you took your final Matric exam but were not successful enough to receive your certificate, you can register for the Matriculation Rewrite course

You are allowed to repeat the exam as many as you choose. This suggests that you may attempt the exams as many times as necessary to pass the course. You can retake the exam with Bellview or the Department of Basic Education (DBE). You have the option to apply for the Rewrite Program or the Adult Course.

 What Is The Number of Courses To Rewrite

After finishing a Rewrite course, you won’t be restricted to rewriting a certain number of topics. If you want to improve your marks, you can pick one or two topics.

 Matriculation Rewrite Course Criteria

To qualify for the Rewrite course, you must:

  • Have a grade 9 or equivalent certificate (ABET level 04)
  • Have an incomplete Matriculation result
  • Be 21 years or older at the time of your final exams
  • Be able to read and write in English or Afrikaans

Certificate To Receive After Completing the Matric Rewrite Subject

You will receive an Amended Senior Certificate once you complete the Rewrite course. This certificate will be handled similarly to a standard Matric certificate because it is on the same level.

The Certificate for the Matric Rewrite’s NQF Level

The Rewrite Certificate is on NQF level 4, just like a regular Matric Certificate.

Which Subjects Will I Be Able To Rewrite

You can select to rewrite the following compulsory and optional subjects during your program:

Compulsory Subjects Optional Subjects
English Home Language Life Science (Biology)
English First Additional Language Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry)
Afrikaans Huistaal (Home Language) Accounting
Afrikaans First Additional Language Business Studies
Any Other First Additional Languages Economics
Mathematics Geography
Mathematical Literacy History
