The Matric Rewrite course was created primarily to give students the opportunity to receive their Certificates. If you took your final Matric exam but did not pass to receive your certificate or if you want to raise your grade point average, you can register for the Matric Rewrite course. You may retake the exam as often as you desire. This suggests that you can take the exams as many times as necessary till you pass the course. You have the option of taking an exam again through Bellview or the Department of Basic Education (DBE). You can choose to apply for either the Adult Programme or the Rewrite Course.

What the Matric Rewrite Course Means

The main goal of the  Rewrite course was to provide students with the opportunity to earn their Certificate. You can enrol in the Rewrite course if you took your final matriculation exam but failed it in order to earn your certificate or if you wish to improve your grade point average.

How Many Program Can I Rewrite

You won’t be limited to rewriting a specific amount of topics after completing a Rewrite course. You can select one or two subjects to raise your grades.

How long Does It Take To Complete The Matric Rewrite Course?

The Rewrite course can be completed in 12, 24, or 36 months. The recommended period is between 12 and 24 months.

 Matric Rewrite Requirement Program

In order to qualify for the Rewrite course, you must:

  •  Have a grade 9 or equivalent certificate (ABET level 04)
  •  Have an incomplete Matric result
  •  Be 21 years or older at the time of your final exams
  •  Be able to read and write in English or Afrikaans

What Certificate Will I Get After Completing the Matric Rewrite Course?

After completing the Rewrite course successfully, you will be given an Amended Senior Certificate. Since it is on the same level as a regular Matric certificate, this certificate will be treated similarly.

The Certificate for the Matric Rewrite’s NQF Level

The Matric Rewrite Certificate is on NQF level 4, just like a regular Matric Certificate.

You can select to rewrite the following compulsory and optional subjects during your program:
