During this time, all prospective students are encouraged to apply through the college’s digital platform. Whether you are just finishing school or looking to upskill, you can apply now to secure your space for the 2026 academic year.
Prospective students must visit the official website of the college to apply. The online application system is designed to be simple and convenient. You begin by completing a career guidance session to help identify a course that matches your strengths and interests. From there, you will go through a placement assessment, which includes basic literacy and numeracy evaluations, as well as a course selection test. These assessments are not graded, but they are important for placing you in a program that suits you best.
After that, you fill out the application form online and upload all necessary documents, including a certified copy of your ID, your most recent school results, and proof of address. All documents must be in PDF format and submitted separately. Once your application is sent, you will receive updates via SMS and email. You can also check your application progress at any time by logging into the Northlink website.

Northlink Online Application Requirements
The following are the documents for applying to the school applicants must be aware of.
South African applicants
- South African ID or passport
- Latest academic results (Grade 9–12, N‑certificate)
- Parent/guardian ID (if applicable)
- Proof of residence.
Foreigners
- An official Acceptance Letter from the college.
- An Accommodation Letter from the landlord confirming where the student will stay while studying in South Africa.
- Proof of medical cover for the full duration of the study period.
- A receipt confirming payment of tuition fees.
- A valid passport.
- A SAQA evaluation certificate, which must be included with all international qualifications.
- Chinese students must request a letter from the International Office confirming that Northlink College is registered with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). A copy of this letter will be provided.
How To Apply Online For Northlink College 2026
Northlink College is now accepting applications for 2026. To apply online, follow these steps:
Step 1: Career Guidance
- New applicants must complete career guidance to find suitable courses.
- Create a profile by clicking “First time here?” to register.
- Complete all sections in the “Pre-entry information” folder.
- Finish all screening assessments and answer every question, even if unsure.
- Click “Finish” after each assessment.
Step 2: Placement Assessment
- Log in to complete literacy, numeracy, and course selection assessments.
- This assessment is compulsory but not a pass or fail test.
- You must complete it yourself for accurate course placement and support.
- If someone else completes it, it may lead to poor academic results.
*Step 3: Course Application
- Fill out the online application form by following the step-by-step instructions.
- Upload all required documents in PDF format separately, including:
- Certified copy of your ID (not older than 3 months)
- Certified copy of your latest passed results (not older than 3 months)
- Proof of address in your name
- Missing documents may lead to application rejection.
Step 4: NSFAS Bursary Application
- For NSFAS bursary information, visit nsfas.org.za.
- Application dates and details will be available on the NSFAS website.
NOTE:
- After submitting your application form, allow enough time for verification and forwarding to the relevant Programme Manager before asking about its status.
- You will receive an acknowledgement of your application via SMS and email.
- You can check your application status anytime by logging into the Northlink College website.
