SWGC NSFAS Application Date;
The application date for NSFAS at South West Gauteng College commences from the 28th of September 2023,through to the 31st of January 2024, therefore applicants should ensure they submit their applications before the closing date to prevent disappointments.
SWGC NSFAS Application Eligibility;
Applicants who falls under this criteria can apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme;
- Applicant must be a citizen of South Africa
- Applicant must also be registered as Report 191/ Nated or NC(V) students.
- The bursaries are only awarded to students who are academically successful and in need of financial assistance.
- A Means Test will be administered to each student to establish their level of financial need. This means that not every student who meets the requirements for a bursary will get the same amount.
SWGC NSFAS Application Requirements;
These are the application requirements of NSFAS at South West Gauteng College;
- Applicants must submit ID/ Birth Certificate.
- Applicants must submit their current academic report.
- Applicants must submit evidence of parents income if they are employed.
- Applicants must submit a death certificate if parent/s are deceased.
- Applicants must submit a doctor’s certificate if permanently disabled.

- Click the’myNSFAS’ tab at www.nsfas.org.za.
- Register for a myNSFAS account.
- Answer the questions on the screen by selecting the ‘APPLY’ tab.
- After you have uploaded the necessary supporting documents, click “submit.”
