The tourism industry requires strong planning, organizing, and communication abilities. Working with numerous tourism-related service providers is one of the parts of the tourism sector. The theoretical requirements of N4, N5, and N6 are completed over three semesters, each lasting six months. Then, after completing N4–N6, the students will finish their 18 months of in-service training. Students can get help finding a good job in the tourism sector through the Work Integrated Learning department.

What does Tourism N4 N6 mean?
The N4 – N6 Certificate Programmes are post-matric National Certificates leading towards obtaining a National N-Diploma. Each certificate is a qualification on its own and is offered over 3 months.

- Hotel front desk agent
Preparing skilled front desk representatives who can accurately and effectively carry out the responsibilities and tasks of a hotel front desk representative and consequently project and contribute to the business’s image.
- Travel Assistance
Students can manage a passenger’s itinerary in terms of the numerous travel components thanks to Travel Services. It gives the student a comprehensive understanding of tourism operations, with fare operations and ticketing playing a significant role. Bookings for rail, cruises, and lodging should also not be overlooked.

Duration
- Each level takes six months full-time to complete.
- A total of 18 months to complete the theoretical components (N4, N5 and N6).
- Each level consists of four subjects. On completion of a level, a student is awarded a certificate
- 18 months’ practical experience in the work environment (in-service training)
- It takes a minimum of three years to qualify for a National N Diploma
