NSC Requirements
To meet the requirements for the Faculty of Health Sciences, applicants must have:
- English: Home Language or First Additional Language at Level 4
- Mathematics: Level 4
- Science: Life Sciences and/or Physical Sciences at Level 4
The selection process uses a Composite Index (CI) score based on the following criteria:
Matric Academic Results: Your scores from five subjects are considered, including:
- English
- Mathematics
- The best of either Physical Sciences or Life Sciences
- The two best other subjects
We evaluate the percentage achieved, not the symbol, with the average of these five subjects contributing 60% to the CI score. National Benchmark Test (NBT) Scores: These scores make up the remaining 40% of the CI score, based on the average achieved.
