How to Use Your N6 Hospitality Qualification for Success
Many colleges and universities offer the N6 Hospitality certificate, a vocational degree. Usually, it’s an aspect of the National N-Diploma program, which aims to prepare students for jobs in the hospitality and tourism sector. The Department of Higher Education and Training has accredited the National Certificates N4–N6 in Hospitality and Catering Services, and Umalusi has certified their quality.
The main topics of this course will be the three disciplines of professional cooking, lodging and housekeeping, and food and beverage management. The Hospitality Department takes pleasure in allowing students to hone, redesign, and polish their culinary and managerial abilities in this fast-paced, expanding field. The qualification gives equal weight to the student’s academic, practical, and integrated learning experiences.
The certificate is intended for persons who strongly commit to helping others and possess the necessary skills for this hard field. An advanced stage of this program is the N6 level. You can find an occupation that enables you to give visitors and tourists great experiences based on your hobbies and career goals.

You will be job-ready and able to take up a position in the following sectors of the Hospitality industry:
For entry into the National Certificate (Hospitality) at NQF Level 2, you require A year-end school report for grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 certificates. An NQF Level 1 qualification; or. An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing NQF Level 2;
You can work as a cook, waiter, receptionist, or lodging assistant at various hospitality establishments using the theoretical knowledge and practical abilities you’ll gain while studying hospitality. These programs also teach you customer service and interpersonal skills.
To be considered for this qualification, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 23. Assessment procedures: Applicants with a final APS of 23 or more will be admitted to the program. Applicants with a score of 20 to 22 will be admitted to the National Diploma (Extended Curriculum)
Including online and full-time courses offered by public universities or TVET colleges, NSFAS only provides funding for first undergraduate degrees. The following is a list of some of the undergraduate courses typically funded: Travel, tourism, and hospitality. Personal Resources
Students can further develop their abilities after completing this course by enrolling in courses allowing them to specialize in various industries. The Department of Higher Education and Training provides the National N-Diploma in Hospitality and Catering after you have worked in the field for 18 months.
