Discover What You Can Study at UNISA With 17 Points
The University of South Africa, UNISA Minimum Admission Point Score (APS) for each qualification differs from university to university and from qualification to qualification. Before you submit your online application to study at UNISA, you must ensure that you meet the statutory and university-specific admission requirements as well as the required academic points score (APS) for your chosen qualification(s).
Being an interested student or applicant who wants to study at UNISA with 17 points you have to know the courses or programs you can offer according to your qualifications. There are programs available to students who have APS 17 and don’t know what to study. A list of these programs has been stated right below in this post.
What Is the APS Score?
APS stands for Admission Point Score. It is a system used by South African universities to assess your Grade 12 results when you apply for admission. Each subject you pass earns you a certain number of points, depending on how well you did. These points are then added up to give you your total APS. At UNISA, most undergraduate degrees require an APS of between 20 and 24 points.
However, if your score is lower, such as 17 points, you still have options. While you may not qualify for a full degree right away, you can apply for certain Higher Certificate programmes or Short Learning Courses. These qualifications are designed to help you build your skills and prepare for further study. So even with 17 points, there are still ways to work toward your academic goals and eventually qualify for a diploma or degree at UNISA.
