What is N4 N6
Any NATED Program begins with a National N4 Certificate. Students can master the basics of the specific field they choose to pursue with this Certificate.
Numerous students who have successfully passed the National N4 Certificate are eligible to enroll in the N5 National Certificate, the N6 National Certificate, and finally the N6 National Diploma.
What Are NATED National Certificates?
The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) created the courses that make up NATED National Certificates. The DHET saw that there were many young people without jobs, which led to the development of these courses.
This was brought about by the fact that students were not receiving the practical training they needed to begin their jobs. National Accredited Technical Education Diplomas is what NATED stands for. These programs give students the theoretical and practical abilities they need to begin their careers.
What Does N4 Mean In College?
An N4 in college indicates that you have acquired the basic skills in a particular industry for a NATED Program. An N4 National Certificate has 60 credits and is at NQF Level 5.
You can apply for the N5 National Certificate after completing and passing the N4 National Certificate. To enroll in the N5 National Certificate, you must first complete the N4 National Certificate.
How long does it take to finish grades N4–N6?
The N4 to N6 National Certificates can be completed in six (6) to twelve (12) months. Whether you’ve finished only one course, two courses, three courses, or the entire program will depend on this. One course (the N4 National Certificate) can be finished in six to twelve months. It may take six months to finish if you are simply working on the theoretical part.
It may take six (6) to twelve (12) months to finish if you are finishing the theoretical component first. This indicates that you will spend six (6) months on theory and another six (6) months on practical training. Alternatively, you can finish the six (6) months of theoretical and job experience at the same time. This enables you to finish the full program in only 18 months and one course in just six months.
What Is An N4 Qualification Equivalent To?
There is no connection between an N4 Qualification and any other qualification. Despite being at NQF Level 5, it cannot be compared to any other qualifications. All other credentials listed on the National Quality Framework (NQF) are not the same as NATED credentials.
