What Is N6 Electrical Qualification?

Electrical engineering is concerned with the design, investigation, and manufacture of different electrical and electronic systems such as electrical circuits, computer systems, telecommunication, instrumentation, controls, and electronics. The N6 Electrical certification is a vocational certification in South Africa that is part of the National Nated N1-N6 engineering study program. It focuses on electrical engineering and gives students a fundamental understanding of electrical concepts and techniques. This course provides the theoretical foundation required, while the practical aspect gives 24 months (about 2 years) of trade-specific job experience.

This qualification is designed to allow students who are particularly interested and talented in a vocational area to develop skills in the chosen area, allowing them to either continue their studies or be employed and efficient in the sector at the entry-level or second-tier level. The qualification is primarily intended to provide the student with the technical, theoretical, practical, and workplace knowledge and abilities necessary in their chosen occupational or vocational sector.

Admission Requirements For N6 Electrical Qualification

To qualify for the N6 Qualification, you must have passed your N5 qualification or its equivalent qualification. Certificates are issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
