What Subjects Are Needed For Primary Health Care? Does UniSA offer a primary health care course?

Primary healthcare professionals play a vital role in the well-being of individuals and communities. To embark on a rewarding journey in primary health care, it’s crucial to build a strong educational foundation. Primary Health is a course aimed at the student who would like to obtain a qualification in community-orientated primary health. The qualification covers both the theoretical and practical experience required which will be through both simulation and practical experience in the “real world” Bursaries for study are available. The full course consists of 21 subjects (7 on each level), i.e. 3 Fundamental subjects, 3 Core subjects plus one Elective. See Curriculum for subjects.

Admission Requirements: Does UniSA offer a primary health care course?

All qualified applicants wanting to study at the College must make sure they have the following available before attempting to apply:

  • A certified copy of your ID
  • Latest school results
  • Proof of Residence
  • Valid Email Address

Foreign students

  • Certified copies of passport
  • SAQA-approved foreign qualifications
  • Proof of medical insurance or cover
  • Valid study permit
