Will I Get Admission To DUT With 20 Points

  • Yes, in addition to Rule G7, candidates having a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Senior Certificate (SC) qualification must obtain a minimum score of 20 points and an English rating or symbol as shown in the table below. Candidates who hold a level 4 National Certificate (Vocational) certification must receive at least 50% in either English or Communication.

DUT APS Points 

The approved points score at DUT has been provided in the table below:

  • 90 – 100%: APS Score 7
  • 80 – 89%: APS Score 7
  • 70 – 79%: APS Score 6
  • 60 – 69%: APS Score 5
  • 50 – 59%: APS Score 4
  • 40 – 49%: APS Score 3
  • 30 – 39%: APS Score 2
  • 0 – 29%: APS Score 1

Application and Admission Process At DUT

All applicants are required to finish an application form which entails the following:

  • the applicant has to be the age of 23 years
  • Have three years of business/work experience
  • Need to be self-funded (NSFAS funding does not apply for part-time studies)
  • Complete all personal details on the application form
  • Submit clear certified copies of previous qualification/s completed
  • Submit a clear certified copy of your ID and matric certificate

Mature age exemptions may be accepted for applicants who do not meet the Matric points, please enquire directly with the coordinator.
