Prospective student willing to pursue a degree in tourism, knowing the admission requirements is very important. There are certain number of points and qualifications required depending on the country, institution, and program you choose.

To determine how many points or qualifications you need to study tourism, below are the list of qualification needed to study Tourism.

Diploma in Tourism Management

The goal of this certificate is to give students the tools they need to run a tourism business competently in a range of technical, management, personal, and operational skills. A successful student will have built a solid basis for moving up to entry-level and leadership roles as well as for taking advantage of business opportunities.

Admission Requirements needed to study Tourism

A minimum APS of 22 with Mathematics or 24 with Mathematical Literacy. English 4 (50%), Mathematics or Technical Mathematics 3 (40%), or Mathematical Literacy 5 (60%).

Additional Requirements for Admission

A suitable bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma in tourism management at NQF Level 7 are the prerequisites for admission. The prospective student must also have at least a 60% average in the prerequisite qualification.

Experienced students who don’t satisfy these minimal academic standards will need to go through a rigorous RPL procedure to determine their eligibility to take part in the program.
