How Should My APS Points Be
It’s up to you to decide what your APS should be. What and where you want to study will determine the APS you wish to obtain. The following are the APS minimum requirements for the four passing levels:
- Bachelor’s Degree pass – minimum APS 23
- Diploma pass – minimum APS 19
- Higher Certificate pass – minimum APS 15
- NSC pass – minimum APS 14

What Minimum APS Score Is Required To Pass For A Bachelor’s Degree
A Bachelor’s Degree pass, commonly referred to as a Matric exemption pass, requires a minimum APS of 23. Gaining this does not, however, ensure that you will be accepted into a Bachelor’s Degree programme. Additionally, certain courses will have greater APS requirements than the standard one.

There are some subjects you must take in order to complete your matric year. The matric required subjects are as follows:

- First Additional Language
- Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy
