What Is EAL Level 2 Diploma In Electrical Installation?

The EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation is a detailed vocational qualification that is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in electricals. This program enables you to gain knowledge and craft skills in electrical installation using the IET On-Site guide, as well as learn about how regulations, such as BS 7671, impact electrical installation. The qualification applies to standard circuits. This qualification enables the student to gain electrical installation knowledge and trade abilities.

It does not need occupational proof from the workplace, making it appropriate for students who do not already work in the electrical industry (but may like to). The qualification was developed from the QCF diploma inside the Apprenticeship framework, allowing for an easier transition to the industry-recognized certification.

What Does EAL Level 2 Diploma Cover?

The following subjects are covered in electrical installation: health and safety, theory and technology, techniques, processes, and regulations; electrical installation trade skills; and electrical science and concepts.

EAL Level 2 Diploma Program Accreditation

This qualification is:

  • accredited/regulated at Level 2
  • is not recognised by the electrical industry for competence and will not make
    the learner is an electrician but will facilitate a progression to the industry
    recognised qualification
  • supported by NFEC (National Forum of Engineering Centres).

Entry Requirements For EAL Level 2 Diploma In Electrical Installation

Students must be 16 years old or older. This qualification has no official admission criteria. Students must, however, be capable of completing all parts of the qualification. Students should be able to demonstrate, in particular, that they have the minimum skills of reading and numeracy necessary to complete the learning outcomes and assessments.

Academic requires; A minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at Grade D (new grading 3), including English and/or math. Alternatively, a Pass/Merit in a relevant complete Level 1 vocational programme (a minimum of Merit for BTEC programmes) and Functional Skills Level 1 maths/IT as appropriate to the course.
