For a basic matric pass, a student must receive at least 40% in three subjects, including their native language, and at least 30% in three more subjects.

Diploma pass Mark Requirements

A passing grade for a diploma is 40% in four subjects with higher credits, 30% in three subjects with lesser credits, and one subject may fail.

With this pass, you can register for a diploma degree at a university of technology or a bridging course at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college.

A student must: Pass the diploma exam in order to:
